As with all of the works in the 120x series, Abstract No. 1205 draws from hiding and revealing, the interplay of contrasting and complementary colors, and the use of subtle but relentless textures. In this case, we see a sky of teal blue obscured in part by cloud-like formations in oranges, ambers, russets, and rust colors. What colors speak to you in this work? What colors match your mood of the moment? Your outlook on life? Art, like so many things, is in the eye of the beholder. Hence the title that isn't really a title, but an invitation.
